English Classes (LINC)

The objective of Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) is to offer English as a second language to help adult newcomers overcome the language barriers that they face in Canada when attempting to complete their day-to-day activities, furthering their education, finding employment and more. Classes are developed based on LINC curriculum specifications, Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) and Portfolio Based Language Assessment (PBLA) guidelines and focus on improving the client’s speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. TESOC offers CLB Literacy Level to Level 4 in-person classes and Level 5 online teacher-led Birchmount location, and CLB Levels 1 to 4 at Lansdowne location.

Eligible Newcomers: Permanent Residents, Convention Refugees/Protected Persons

Online (Teacher-Led Instruction) – CLB Level 5 only
Location 2: 685 Lansdowne Avenue, Unit 1A

In-Person – CLB Level 1 to 4
Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Closed Weekends and Statutory Holidays, as well as March Break, Summer Break and Winter Break.
