Wellness Program
TESOC’s Wellness Program aims to provide eligible clients facing wellness challenges with supportive counselling services and referrals to community organizations and professionals as needed.
Supportive Service 1:
As part of Settlement Services (NAARS), the short-term counsellor provides limited one-to-one supportive counselling to eligible newcomers to ensure their well-being.

- Substance-Related Challenges
- Mood Disorders
- Trauma
- Psychotic Disorders
- Stress Management and Self-Care
- Conflict Resolution and Problem-Solving Skills
Eligible Newcomers: Permanent Residents, Convention Refugees/Protected Persons and Live-In Caregivers
Mode of Delivery: In-Person and/or Virtual (i.e. Phone, Email, Zoom)
Location: 1160 Birchmount Road, Unit 1A
Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Closed Weekends and Statutory Holidays.
Funded By: Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
Supportive Service 2:
In addition to the above IRCC-funded support service, TESOC also aims to educate communities about wellness through a series of in-person or virtual workshops or events. This support service is funded by community sponsors and donors and organized by TESOC’s Wellness Coordinator. As such, topics vary and may range from specific wellness challenges to self-care strategies and more.
